You'll love Sledge Hammer! I can remember many a laugh as my husband and 3 sons ROARED at these episodes! My husbands favorite was Sledge Hammer's weapon... the "Hammer-oid"! Treat yourself to a lot of laughs!
The Comic Genius of Alan Spencer

SLEDGE HAMMER was the work of a comic genius named Alan Spencer who should be demanded to give the public yet another offering in the tradition of this masterpiece of inspired madness. SLEDGE HAMMER ranks right up there with the best works of Mel Brooks and Monty Python. It's a brilliantly sustained satire that DEMANDS RELEASE ON DVD with full commentary from Spencer. I want this show now! America needs it!

This show will never win any awards and it will probably never even make its way into syndication, but at the time it was a lot of fun. David Rasche stars as the hard-nosed "Dirty Harry" style cop who hates punks, loves his .44 magnum and thinks women should be barefoot and pregnant. The comedy is generally very silly and over the top, but still very amusing. This tape contains the pilot episode, a spoof of Harrison Ford's "Witness," a spoof of Elvis and a "Fatal Attraction" parody. It is cheesey, but classic cheese. A must for any 80s lover's collection.
