Product Description
HUSBANDS & WIVES: GOD'S DESIGN FOR THE FAMILY. Husbands & Wives helps you explore biblical teaching on important topics for both marriage partners: self-image; communication, love, and conflicts; the sexual relationship; and the unique responsibilities of husbands and wives. Examining these scriptural truths can help you develop a fresh outlook on your marriage-and a deeper commitment to one another. Written mainly for married couples in small study groups or Sunday school classes, this book includes six chapters of thought-provoking study questions based on Scripture, plus application questions and family projects. This book also contains guidelines for group discussion to assist the leader of your group or class. Developed by staff member of The Navigators, Husbands & Wives emphasizes a practical, life-changing understanding of scriptural principles as they relate to your family.

From the first section to the last, Husbands and Wives touches on the areas that can lead to growth in a Christian marriage. My wife and I found ourselves reassured, comforted and exhorted by each chapter. The book supports each section with scripture, but never preaches or commands you to act a certain way. Instead, by leading you to the areas that contain conflict in a marriage, then pointing you to the section of God's Word that addresses each issue, the book helps you to discover the right way to go, under your own steam and God's direction. The book asks a lot of good questions, and when used with another couple can lead to some great discussions and relation building. I'd reccomend it for any new, old, or engaged Christian couple.
