Amazon.com Review
Fodor's 98 Europe has something for everybody: there's a short section at the front of the book outlining what the major events of 1998 will be in each of the 32 countries covered and another section that covers smart travel tips organized from A (Air Travel) to Z--well, W, anyway (When to Go). Listings for food and accommodations are marked with dollar signs to denote the price range, while Fodor's special recommendations as well as restaurants and lodgings that warrant a detour are also clearly marked. There are vocabulary lists for 16 languages and a detailed, color Rand McNally map of Europe in the back of the book--perfect for detaching and slipping into a backpack or suitcase. Each country chapter begins with an A to Z section covering everything from customs to weather, and each city listing has a map with sites of interest marked on it. All these features make Fodor's 98 Europe easy to use--what makes it great is the reliable, extensive information it contains. This is a terrific basic guidebook to take with you on your travels through the continent.
