Sam Evans wants nothing more then solitude and his computer to finish designing a verbal command day-timer. Still nursing a bruised heart from his one foray into romance, he vows never again, and keeps high the shields, which, coupled with his extraordinary size, effective sends the message, "KEEP AWAY!" When five-month-old Juliet arrives on his doorstep, accompanied by a note and website, Sam feels concern, but when Anne Logan rings the doorbell, announcing she is the nanny, he knows he is in big trouble. From the first glance of her slim, shapely curves, Sam feels a hunger unlike any he has ever known, but refuses to believe he can give his body without endangering his heart.Anne Logan's policy has always been one of no involvement with the employer, but that was before she met studly-do-right Sam Evans. What is the matter with the women in Portland? Can't they see this tower of masculinity for the virile, handsome, hunk he is? Obviously not, and so much the better for her. Determined to have a home and family, Anne feels time slipping away as she cares for other's children while desperately wanting one of her own. Armed with a criteria list, Anne plans to find Mr. Right, but fate steps in, and sends her to his door. The only problem? Convincing Sam he is perfect for the role. It is always a delight to read a story of an inept bachelor and an adorable baby, but with BABY.COM we get a larger-than-life alpha male whose heart melts when the baby flashes her cute dimples. Endearing, engaging, and entertaining describes Molly Liholm's newest novel. Chucked full of delightful characters, humorous moments, and enough sexual tension to make pulses race, BABY.COM belongs on everyone's to-be-read list.
